SAN JOSE, California & ATLANTA, Georgia – January 9, 2024 – Lynx Software Technologies (Lynx), a leader in the development of foundational, open architecture software solutions for the Mission Critical Edge, today announced the acquisition of Thompson Software Solutions, LLC. (TSS), a provider of software development, engineering, and integration solutions to mission-critical aerospace and defense (A&D) platforms, spanning military and commercial fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, commercial space flight, hypersonic platforms, and command-and-control systems. Its customers include the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), prime integrators, A&D original equipment manufacturers, and commercial space companies.

Avionics & Mission Software

TSS has rich experience in bare metal and RTOS hosted operational flight programs and mission systems applications. We employ industry standards like ARINC 653, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429 and other US Government and Commercial FAA standards for avionics and flight software associated with Integrated Modular Avionics environments. We excel at blending the power of safety critical avionics with modern, high performance mission systems enabling rapid capability insertion and technology upgrades. We have a wealth of knowledge in aircraft and spacecraft flight software achieving safety certifications with high pedigree.

Our teams have led multiple Live, Virtual, Constructive events and understand the details of the network and configuration needed for distributed mission operations. Leveraging available tools and standards like Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), we provide creative solutions for this critical capability. Our staff were part of the creators of the new F-35 Embedded Training product line.
